My university is my opportunity!
Bulgaria met us very warmly - the smell of roses, friendly faces, pleasant sunny weather.
As undergraduates of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in the specialty «Religious Studies», I became participants in a joint master's program: «Europe and Asia: Cultural Diplomacy and Geopolitics of the EU» of the St. Kliment Ohridsky University and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. For us, this was a unique opportunity to receive at once two diplomas from leading universities in Bulgaria and Kazakhstan. This is a great deal for us.
At Sofia University. St. Clement of Ohrid we studied 8 subjects: Power in modern international relations; Borders of regions and transboundary cooperation; Diplomacy and crisis management in the EU (historical and political aspects); Intercultural mediation and negotiation; EU politics and culture; EU and Far East geopolitics; Introduction to EU policies and institutions; Geopolitics of the 21st century: the Black Sea region.
Having adopted knowledge from the best professors of the Sofia University, we mastered the economic and political situations of the European Union, diversified aspects of the Far East and the Black Sea. In addition, studying in Bulgaria helped us develop the level of English.
Familiarized with the culture and history of Bulgaria. Participated in events on the day of «Independence of Kazakhstan» in Bulgaria. A number of conferences and seminars were held at the St. Kliment Ohridsky University of Sofia, which were quite interesting and informative.
We are very grateful to the Sofia University. St. Kliment Ohridsky for the hospitality, as well as for the unique research methods that we mastered during the educational process and, of course, the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University for the opportunity to receive a European diploma.
I want to express my deep gratitude to my university and the department of religious and cultural studies for providing a unique opportunity that helped me expand my horizons of knowledge.
