Intercultural communication is a type of interaction between representatives of different cultures in which they exchange information and learn about the cultural values and traditions of another country. The process of intercultural communication is a specific type of activity that requires not only knowledge of foreign languages, but also knowledge of another people's material and spiritual culture, religion, values, moral attitudes, and worldviews as a whole, which determine the interacting parties' model of behavior. The expansion of intercultural and interpersonal contacts, which is an obvious regularity of modern life, and, as a result, the need to find ways to increase the effectiveness of communication in different areas and situations of communication; search for optimal communication strategies in communicating with bearers of another culture, and the desire to learn to a new language are all reasons for interest in communicative behavior in intercultural communication.

The adaptation of an individual to a new culture with its values and traditions is defined in science as the adaptation of an individual to a new culture with its values and traditions, which has a number of important functions and occurs in several stages, beginning with the assimilation of universal cultural and social values, norms, and ending with the perception of socio-cultural attitudes of behavior in typical situations.

Culture is passed along by the ability to communicate, which distinguishes humans from other organisms. As a result, unlike animals, humans do not have to start their development all over again with each generation. If he didn't have any talents or abilities, his conduct would be dictated by instincts, and he would blend in with the rest of the animal world. It also implies that there is a person - a bearer of culture and language - between the real world and the language. They are then logically comprehended in the form of concepts, conclusions, and judgments that may be communicated to others. As a result, thinking serves as a bridge between language and reality.

Intercultural adaptation is a tough process in which a person achieves compatibility with a new cultural context, that is, he accepts its traditions as his own and acts in line with them after successfully completing it.The process of intercultural adaptation is closely linked to intercultural accommodation, which includes the following components: maintaining a person's positive mental health and emotional state, and the introduction of social skills and abilities that are required for the successful fulfillment of daily goals and objectives. The difficulty of human adaptation to a new culture appears to be particularly significant today, as global migration processes intensify as a result of globalization.

The study of intercultural communication processes is required for the formation of productive interactions between people from different cultures, and it is studied at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Language and culture are inextricably linked, as language is the keeper of cultural values. Many factors influence the ability of communication partners from various cultures to comprehend one another. At the same time, people's adaptation processes are influenced by both cultural and personal features. If a person has specific knowledge and abilities, this process can be accelerated.
