In the Palace of Students named after U. Dzholdasbekov KazNU. Al-Farabi hosted a student forum dedicated to the Year of Youth of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event was attended by over two thousand students and representatives of youth organizations of leading universities in Kazakhstan. Among them are leaders of student organizations, scientists and startups, entrepreneurs and volunteers. The students discussed the speech of the Head of State at the Youth Forum in Astana, shared their vision of participation in the implementation of the tasks set for the young generation, and what contribution they can make to the development of the country. And the years of independence in Kazakhstan have raised a younger generation of a new formation, - opening the forum, noted the rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, academician Galym Mutanov. - The President of the country and the state have invested a lot in its formation and development. Today, young people have high hopes and responsibility for strengthening the independence of the state, the formation of an intellectual nation and its competitiveness in the world.

Students shared their vision of what contribution they can make to the fulfillment of the tasks set by the Head of State for the younger generation. They also presented their ideas and innovative projects aimed at creating industry 4.0, shared their experience in implementing start-ups.

The outcome of the forum was the launch of an initiative to create a national youth movement “Creativity and Youth Energy - Innovative Development of the Country”. Young people addressed the youth of the country with an appeal to take the most active part in the movement and to direct their knowledge, skills and creativity to the development and implementation of creative ideas, projects and innovations.Conducting the Year of Youth is a manifestation of Elbasy’s special concern for the younger generation, which is the future of the country. We should not wait for the state to do something for us. Everyone should ask themselves: “What can I do for the country?” - the message says. - Every year in Kazakhstan almost 200 thousand graduates leave the university. But with what baggage of knowledge are they ready for modern life and how active is their citizenship? It is important that, having obtained the necessary competencies, they could create jobs themselves. After all, the prosperity of the country depends on how much they contribute to the development of Kazakhstani society. As the President said, Kazakhstan needs a creative generation, which will raise science and innovations and create industry 4.0. Only in this way can the development of the country in accordance with global technological trends and its competitiveness on the world stage be ensured. If every university, enterprise and region is involved in this project, the innovative youth movement will become truly massive and will have a powerful stimulating effect in the development of the knowledge economy, students of the university believe. - We hope that the best initiatives of the young will be supported by government agencies at all levels. We are very enthusiastic about the instructions of the President to create a fund to support youth start-ups and appeal to business structures to establish grants to help talented young people to implement their ideas. All this will contribute to creating a favorable innovation environment in society and turning the creativity and energy of young people into a powerful creative force. The breakthrough of Kazakhstan among the thirty most developed countries in the world is entirely dependent on us. The future of the country is in our hands.
